About Mildred's Coffeehouse

Opening back in 1994, Mildred's Coffeehouse is one of the few remaining family owned and operated coffee houses.  Mildred's baristas have fed and caffeinated hordes of folks over the last 15 years.  Sharing tables and hanging out on the patio is commonplace, naturally setting the scene for new friendships, many of which remain pals even now.

Mildred's ventured into downtown Kansas City Missouri back in 1997.  Located in the heart of the KC business district, this coffee house serves breakfast and lunch to both urban loft dwellers and the working crowds from all over the downtown area.  The recent unveiling of the Power and Light District and new AMC Theatres brings a whole new group of coffee and foodies to the neighborhood.

In 1997 Mildred's on Main became the second location in the Kansas City area to bear the Mildred's name. Located in the heart of the business district of downtown Kansas City Missouri, this coffeehouse serves breakfast, lunch, and coffee drinks to business people from all over downtown. It is located just one block away from the new Power and Light district on the first floor of the AMC building at 920 Main.

Mildred's at Crossroads opened its doors as the third Mildred's coffeehouse in May of 2004 in the popular and growing Crossroads Art District at 19th and Wyandotte. This location proudly participates in the "First Fridays" art exibition once a month in the Crossroads. On the first Friday evening of each month, the Crossroads Community's art galleries, studios, and restaurants open their doors to showcase local and national artists. Much like the already established First Friday’s of Phoenix and Houston, Kansas City’s version hosts a free evening of art entertainment where people gather to enjoy local and national art, the company of others, and great coffee.
